just news stuff….my way

June 27, 2007

so In New Hampshire, you can register to vote as an independent, but only Republicans and Democrats are allowed to run in the state primary.  44% of New Hampshire’s voters are registered independent, making them one of the most independent in the country.  Now if a third party can’t get a fair shake in New Hampshire…?

One more heave for the immigration bill.  They vote again tomorrow on exactly the same bill that was shot down a couple of weeks ago.  We the people have actually exerted enough force to scare the hell out of our representatives up for re-election.  I think this one will go in the win column for the people.  If not…may anarchy rule supreme, and may we all riot in the streets.

Ah yes more gun control.  The issue is releasing gun purchaser data.  Now interestingly enough this would be an invasion of our privacy not unlike the ones in the Patriot act.  Not many liberals are screaming about this one though.  They are the most wishy-washy bunch of turd eaters I’ve ever seen…all they want is to have it both ways.  Looks like it will be shot down….to many rural democrats elected last time that are concerned for their seats.  The democratic party isn’t all that liberal friendly anymore.

Ann Coulter and John Edwards old lady had a cat fight on MSNBC last night.  Ann coulter wishes John Edwards would be killed by terrorists (it was said in a different form, which really didn’t imply she wanted the guy killed at all, but thats the media, and bloggers like me for you…never get it quite right.  I wish Ann Coulter would make her living giving handjobs, and wish Mrs. Edwards would just come out and say if it wasn’t for Ann Coulter her jackass richboy husband couldn’t raise enough money for a cup of coffee.  Every time Ann Speaks they put it in a newsletter and on the web, and beg for funds.

Ron Paul is going to hold a soiree in the same Building as the debate he wasn’t invited to in Iowa.  On the same day.  He is a fiesty little dickens, and like his people say, he’s against raising taxes, and against abortion so its unreasonable for him not to have been invited.

the ultraliberals in charge of the Senate (in this case Patrick “I should’ve been dead 10 years ago” Leahy have subpoena’d more crap from the white house and Dick.  Seems they want to know how much infighting there was in the executive branch over the search warrant free wire tapping rules.  I say….who cares.  My phone isn’t tapped because I’m not a friggin whacko.  I think the liberals just hate the pathetic administration and will try to make a case out of any moronic issue they can.

Rosie O’donnell will be back on Nip/Tuck…good plan…a little real life nip tuck is recommended…also about 18 stitches across her mouth.

the popularity contest

June 25, 2007

Woohoo, who’s got it going on?  Not congress.  They’re the stray dog in a hen house kind of popular.   Just basic favorability rating in the mid twenties?  Confidence at 14%?  Wow, thats worse than George Bush.  Do you suppose it’s because once again the electorate was hoodwinked by a bunch of scoundrels?  Say it isn’t so.  How many times in a row is that?  Ever since the contract with America.  Thats been excoriated by the opposition for years, but it was their fair haired boy, the most popular president in decades, Bill Clinton that made it happen.

In, what, 150 plus days the only thing they’ve accomplished is raising the minimum wage?  Well hallelujah.  That has to resonate with the electorate.  Who does that benefit?  Illegal aliens…can’t vote….teens…..can’t vote.  Maybe somewhere in the country other people make the minimum wage, but here in Indy, if you’re an adult you’re syatying out at at least $7.00 an hour anyway.  Still not enough to liveo n, but right in line with that smoking hot new minimum wage law.

We any closer to out of Iraq? nope.  Any closer to cleaning up that outhouse? Not one bit.  We gave the keys to the coffers to the biggest scalawags available.  It’s a lot of fun to run against the unpopular, but not so much so trying to do their job I reckon.

The senate is a piece of work.  How many hours have they spent trying to ram through an illegal immigration bill that makes nobody but the elite happy?  Who really wants this thing?  Immigrants don’t.  They got here the hard way.  Illegal immigrants don’t.  They’ll lose their jobs if they go home.  The middle class don’t.  They’re tired of fighting off people for jobs that used to pay decently, and funding the social programs for the same people competing for their jobs.  The only people that want this are corporations and the politicians they support.

So with congrees less popular than dick cheney; (gawd that makes me chuckle) , who’s running for president? Congress for the most part.  Not just any of them either.  Some of the worst of them.  You got Dr. No, Ron Paul perpetually hiding behind the constitution to keep from looking like the ultra conservative that he has always been based on his voting record.  You have Hillary Clinton, the democratic front runner that is so crooked the new miracle corkscrew was designed based on her character.  This woman has committed more felonies than Charlie Manson, and her ethical breaches could fill the encyclopedia brittanica.

breathe, criminy breathe….Barack Obama has decided to be our religious leader from the left, and his position on the issues are so muddled that if he’s standing on anything its quicksand.  It’s an awful scary thought but the only candidate I feel is trustworthy is Mike Gravel.  Damn was he a dick at the debate or what?  It was fun to watch them all sit silently uncomfortable as he berated them for being nefarious on issue after issue.  Hell, he called hillary a liar to her face and she just sat there, hands folded with that smile that looks like she just sucked on a lemon.  That was damn good tv.  If you missed it go find the you tube clips….priceless.

Joe Biden is one that I would kind of like to vote for.  He however has already made the gaffe that keeps on giving; insulting black people everywhere with his characterization of Barack Obama as the first intelligent clean (paraphrase) african american to run for president.

I keep coming back to Ron Paul.  He seems like a decent enough guy, he says all the right things about the 5 or 6 issues that the media finds important. (has anyone in the media said the words Social Security in the last two months).   What he stands for though is the impossible.  The militia’s dream candidate.  States right, and lets go down with the ship like the fathers of our country planned it 26,00 intellect years ago.

I’d talk about more of these clowns; about Rudy and his doper staff, and about Fred  “toe in the water” thompson, but whats the point.  They tend to make me sick to my stomach, and I have a rabbit that wants to hump my leg.

Oh yeah, michael bloomberg.  Why not?  Smart enough to make enough to fund his own campaign.  Successful republican mayor of NYC though he is pretty much a centrist democrat?  This guy could work.

Wonder if he needs a slightly dilapidated, cynical, hate- em- all Hamas member for a running mate?

I’m not really in Hamas, but right now they’re the only team that’s winning.

I was watching CNN

June 19, 2007

I know, I know.  This proves something is obviously wrong with me.  I was watching FOX, but got tired of them crowing about Anjelina Jolie banning them from her movie debut (the movie has something to do with freedom of the press), that I turned to watch my boy Lou Dobbs get bent out of shape about immigration reform.  Anyway…here are a few tidbits gleaned from these august news organizations.

Did you know that when people get really sick elsewhere in the world they come here because our medical technology is just plain better?  That our patient care is actually not bad?  I didn’t know.  From everything I’ve been hearing I shouldn’t go to our hospitals.  I’m liable to have my spleen ripped out and sewed to my scrotum to treat me for a hangnail.

Michael Bloomberg’s voting registration has been changed from Republican to unaffiliated?  Maybe Ron Paul for vice president?  For those of you don’t know, mr. bloomberg is a billionaire…he can finance his own campaign.

I’m not sure where its at, but Bill and Hillary Clinton have a little you tube type video spoofing the soprano’s…check her campaign website.

Ron Paul has paid his daughter over 160,000 dollars to work on his campaign over three election cycles.  He hasn’t done anything wrong; (its unlawful to hire them to work on your congressional staff, but you can hire family members to work on your campaign), but when you’re trying to be mr do everything right….isn’t this a little unseemly?

the immigration reform mess keeps getting worse.  Lou Dobbs is almost purple.  It seems corporate america is having seminars explaining how to avoid hiring American workers and hiring immigrants instead.

along those lines…good luck getting your passport renewed.  Seems that citibank and the state department can’t keep up and are running about 1.5 million behind.  Its ok…you didn’t really want to see tuscany anyway….the pizza and wine are atrocious.
